Another "Gbege" in Lagos as a 13 year old boy allegedly rapes a 6year old girl

A 13 year old JSS1 student who lives with his parents at Iju Ishaga Area of Lagos was arrested for allegedly defiling his neighbour's 6 year old daughter and was arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Rafael Donny told the court that the crime took place on June 6 at his parent’s house when no one was at home. Donny said the suspect tricked the 6 year old child into his room and defiled her. He said the crime contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, whose name was not released due to his age, pleaded not guilty.

The Chief Magistrate handling the case, Tajudeen Elias, granted the suspect a N250, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum.

The case was adjourned till July 20.
