  Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), has shut down 70 churches and 20 mosques in the state over noise pollution. Bola Shani, the general manager of the agency made this known in an interview with newsmen in Lagos today June 29th. “Precisely about 70 churches, 20 mosques and about 11 hotels, club houses and beer parlours were shut and we’ve given them some directives to follow. We’ve been so strict now that we are not going to even allow make-shift churches in the state any longer. A 13 year old JSS1 student who lives with his parents at Iju Ishaga Area of Lagos was arrested for allegedly defiling his neighbour's 6 year old daughter and was arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. The prosecutor, Sgt. Rafael Donny told the court that the crime took place on June 6 at his parent’s house when no one was at home. Donny said the suspect tricked the 6 year old child into his room and defiled her. He said the crime contravened Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. The accused, whose name was not released due to his age, pleaded not guilty. The Chief Magistrate handling the case, Tajudeen Elias, granted the suspect a N250, 000 bail with two sureties in like sum. The case was adjourned till July 20. Source - "LindaIkeji"

  Taylar Cordova is a waitress at P.F. Chang’s China Bistro who relies on her customers’ tips to complement her hourly wage. The 22-year-old recently took to Facebook to point out what refusing to leave gratuity means in her life. Cordova explains necessities like buying food and putting clothes on her daughter’s back are things that they go without when people do not tip.   The customer is just mean tho😤.   A 24 year old Missouri man has been charged with 4 counts of homicide after killing his grand dad and mum, sister and 3 month old baby nephew by shooting them on the head and setting them on fire . Grayden Denham of Edgerton in Platte County is accused of murdering his grandparents Russell Denham, 82, and Shirley Denham, 81, his sister Heather Ager, 32, her son, Mason Schiavoni, 3 months and a dog in a terrifying homicide case in February. All the bodies were burning when firefighters arrived and had to put out the flames on each body, Platte County Sheriff Mark Owen said at a press conference on Monday. "Upon further examination of the scene, the following details were revealed: Every victim had sustained one or more gunshot wounds. A young woman sustained burns on 60% of her body when she was engulfed by flames as she was using her phone while filling petrol in the car at a petrol station in Setapak Indah, Kualar Lumpur, Malaysia today, June 28.   "A spark ignited from the pump and triggered a reaction with her handphone," said Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Samsol Maarif Saibani. Firemen were alerted to the incident at  1.25pm  and deployed five personnel from the Wangsa Maju Fire and Rescue Department. Numerous signs are posted at petrol stations warning customers against using their phone there, especially when filling up petrol as it could trigger a fire. I'm still unable to eat as result of the choking smell that pervaded the community. It's one of the most scary reportorial assignments for me. A mother from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 30 year old Schaquana Spears, who beat her young sons for stealing their neighbour's properties, has found herself in trouble with the law, and is now at the center of a US national debate over how she chose to discipline her children. "I was being a mother who loves her kids, who wants to protect her kids, and steer them in the right direction." Spears ran to her house after her neighbor told her that she had seen her kids burglarizing their other neighbour's home. Spears left work and ran home where she saw her children and some of their friends all carrying properties they had stolen. The friends ran out of the house but Spears was able to catch her 3 sons, aged 13, 12 and 10 and according to her, she whipped them with a belt. Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Anambra State said it had arrested no fewer than 156 drug offenders in the state between January and May this year.  The NDLEA Commander in the state, Mr. Sule Momodu, disclosed this to Southern City News on Thursday in his office.  Momodu added that those arrested were 146 males and 10 females, adding that 65 out of the arrested suspects had been charged to court.  He said the agency had seized drugs weighing 923kg and three vehicles within the period under review. The NDLEA boss commended Governor Willie Obiano for assisting the agency, saying the governor’s aid has propelled the NDLEA to accomplish a number of feats.  Momodu, however, regretted that lack of vehicles had continued to limit the agency’s operations.  He lamented the continued increase in cases of drug abuse and trafficking in the state, especially among the young ones.  He blamed parents for the involvement of youths in drug abuse, noting that most parents don...

President Buhari said this during his interactive meeting with workers at the state house Abuja. "27 out of the 36 states cannot pay salaries. This is a disgrace to Nigeria. It is a disgrace up till now that most of the states cannot pay salaries.  What happened to all we have gotten over the years? We look up and down, left, right and centre, what have we saved?
